Death in the family is one of the most painful experiences. However, let us remember Christ, who assures us of eternal life and who is constantly with us as our only comfort, hope and support. Therefore, let us unite in such moments with Jesus, who assures: "whoever believes in me will not die forever"
Let us pray often for the deceased and order a Holy Mass for him!
How do we handle funeral formalities in the parish?
- If we wish to bury the deceased in our parish cemetery, we begin arranging the funeral at our parish office.
- If we wish to be buried in a municipal cemetery, then we first register for a funeral at the municipal cemetery, arranging the place, transport and date of the funeral in consultation with our parish office.
- We also provide the following documents:
- death certificate (part intended for the cemetery administration)
- death certificate from the Civil Registry Office
- possibly a certificate of receiving the sacrament of the sick
